In the past, I’ve been asked if it was possible to make a deposit via the mobile app which made me wonder, if the bank app is compromised or hacked then your accounts can be cleaned out using all the information provided on the app.

I reached out to The Law Society in regards to security and they recommend not using this service for Trust because of all the problems and liability issues that arise, but the they do not have as much concern if you use this for the firm’s General account as you are taking on all the responsibilities involved with the service.

My suggestion is to avoid using this service on either Trust or General accounts because of the risks and problems it exposes you to.
